National Public Lands Day

EarthEcho International’s World Water Monitoring Challenge (WWMC) has partnered with National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF) 2015 National Public Lands Day.

National Public Lands Day (NPLD) is the nation's largest, single-day volunteer effort for public lands. NPLD educates Americans about the environment and natural resources, and the need for shared stewardship of these valued, irreplaceable lands. By building partnerships between the public sector and local community based organizations, NPLD works to enhance and restore America’s public lands for outdoor recreation, with volunteers assisting land managers in hands-on work.

This year’s NPLD is Saturday, September 26, 2015. More than 200 sites around the U.S. will utilize WWMC kits as part of their events.  To learn more, visit: www.publiclandsday.org
