  • Warped Tour-Ventura

We're getting settled into the tour as we coasted into day 3 in Ventura,CA with incredible volunteers and quite a bit of heat. We are getting the setup of the two solar tents down and Erin and I have big plans for the rest of the summer as more bands and sponsors are learning about the Eco-initiative and looking to become more involved. Angels and Airwaves and Cobra starship both said they are starting recycling on their buses and one by one more bands are…

  • Warped Tour-Las Cruces

We had the day off in Gallup, New Mexico before Las Cruces. Erin and I walked a mile down "historic Route 66" to a Subway (one of the only places to eat in town) at a Loves Travel Plaza. Fred was in a little band called Taking Back Sunday for awhile and I'm sure you'll be hearing a lot more about him as the…

Last summer Earth Echo International ran their sponsor contest where the most eco-friendly sponsor won a trip to Key West with a Warped Tour band. I was lucky enough to win that trip while working for thetruth.com and even luckier to have been asked to join Erin and the Warped Eco Initiative out on the road this year. This is my third year on the tour and I couldn't be happier to be back. The first day of tour is always a bit like the first day of school with just…

Unfortunately, they've also figured out that making consumers think they're doing good can be just as beneficial. This deception is known as "greenwashing." The term refers to a marketing technique whereby a company falsely claims to have taken environmentally friendly actions.…
