Lucy Innes

Expedition Fellow: What's the Catch?

Lucy works as a Science teacher at a secondary school in Cornwall. She enjoys challenging her students to find solutions to real-world problems. She has set up a Year 7 Science club where they have tackled issues from farming in countries that flood frequently to housing solutions in an overpopulated planet.  Lucy studied Zoology at Southampton University. She completed her dissertation research on the effect of deforestation on freshwater fish biodiversity in Madagascar. She then completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Education at Exeter University. Growing up in Cornwall has taught Lucy to love the ocean. She is very excited to join the ‘What’s the Catch?’ EarthEcho Expedition Team investigating the future of sustainable fishing.
