Each year on March 22, World Water Day—a United Nations observance—shines a spotlight on the importance of freshwater and the urgent need for sustainable water management. In 2026, EarthEcho International brought this mission to life through a dynamic, global Wave of Action, mobilizing youth leaders, educators, partners, and volunteers to protect water resources in their communities.
EarthEcho International, in partnership with SC Johnson, has launched its largest-ever cohort of Marine Plastics Ambassadors—empowering young leaders across the U.S. to tackle plastic pollution through advocacy, policy engagement and community-driven solutions. The program equips participants with the tools and training needed to drive meaningful change, culminating in a convening in Washington, D.C. this summer, where ambassadors will collaborate with policymakers and advance strategies to protect waterways and ocean ecosystems.
EarthEcho’s 2026 Youth Leadership Summits united over 300 participants to strengthen youth leadership in building coastal and community resilience.
