Violet is 19 years old and lives in Maryland. Violet is a rising sophomore at Coastal Carolina University. She is majoring in marine science with a minor in geographic information systems. She has always had an interest in ocean exploration and conservation. As a certified scuba diver, Violet enjoys being able to learn more about different ocean ecosystems and marine organisms and about ways diving can help with ocean conservation efforts. Violet is also a member of the Black Girls Dive Foundation, an organization dedicated to encouraging and providing opportunities for more young women of color to be a part of the next generation of socially conscious divers, scientists, and conservationists.
