Reflection takes place all during investigation, preparation, and while taking action. During summative reflection, students look at the total of what they learned and contributed. As they reflect, students describe what happened, express feelings, and consider ideas or questions that are provoked. Reflection occurs in discussion, writing, poetry, photography, music, movement, and role plays. Once they appreciate the value, students can design reflective opportunities for their peers.
