Amaya Morene
Amaya Morene, is a senior at Riverside High School in Jacksonville, Florida. Passionate about creating positive changes in her community, Amaya is president of the NAACP Youth Council, Youth Council Leader of State Of the Young People (SOYP), and member of various committees centered around community development and revitalization. She has also spearheaded efforts with her NAACP YC to establish banned book libraries. In school she has participated in NHS as Vice President, Varsity Softball Shortstop, and Varsity Bowler. Her hobbies include playing the violin, spending time with her cats, and photography. Most recently, she has developed a passion for learning about environmental conservation. She plans to matriculate to university, majoring in Anthropology and Communications with a focus on Digital Video Production. Amaya hopes to travel the world, documenting cultures, showcasing the diversity that the world has to offer.
