Camila Rimoldi Ibanez

Camila Rimoldi Ibañez is a rising senior at Florida Atlantic University Honors College, majoring in Marine Biology and minoring in Environmental Studies. Camila has always been fascinated by science and believes that it can enlighten the path toward a healthier and more balanced life with Earth. So, Camila combined her passion for science with her love for the environment and has set course for a career in Marine Biology research and policy.
Her recent research focuses on coral bioacoustics. Her work thus far has been internationally recognized in a multitude of articles, published in scientific journals, and presented at many conferences, namely the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) and Experimental Biology (EB). Apart from research, Camila has directed conservation projects, such as setting up a mangrove nursery. She enjoys bringing people together to help our marine environments and can’t wait to connect and plan more projects with EarthEchos’ motivated youth community!
Camila was born and raised in Argentina before moving to Sebring, Florida. She is proud to be a Hispanic women scientist and leader and hopes to inspire others to pursue their passion of science. Camila loves to do yoga, bake, and spend time with friends and family-especially at the beach :)
