Catalina Gianatti
Catalina Gianatti is a Computer Science student at Universidad Nacional de Rosario, located in her hometown of Rosario, Argentina. She has participated in research projects at the Smithsonian Science Education Center (SSEC), where she was first introduced to the scientific environment. Later, she conducted a research project analyzing the impact of human activities on the Paraná River, which surrounds her city.
Catalina is motivated by her passion for science and technology and aims to solve environmental issues through this combination. She also leads a STEAM Club for children, teaching her students how STEM disciplines can address current challenges.
Additionally, she has deepened her knowledge of conservation by volunteering at Fundación Líderes de Ansenuza, working on a program to protect the Mar Chiquita Lagoon, one of the most important salty wetlands in Latin America.
In her free time, Catalina enjoys reading books, playing the guitar, engaging in sports, and spending time in nature!
