Isabel Peters
Yarmouth, ME, USA
Isabel Peters is from Yarmouth, Maine, and is a senior at Yarmouth High School.
Her love of surfing and her experience growing up in a small, coastal community led her to pursue ocean and climate advocacy. Isabel co-founded and currently leads a chapter of the Surfrider Foundation at her school, pushing for cleaner beaches and more sustainable fishing methods. Isabel is also a Field Organizer for the Maine Youth Action Volunteer Corps, which fights to get environmentally friendly climate legislation passed in Maine through the use of youth voices.
Isabel recently created a mini documentary researching and focusing on the high morality rates of coral reefs outside the Florida Keys, and she is excited to continue creating projects that highlight vital environmental issues.
Isabel is honored to be a member of the Youth Leadership Council, and is beyond excited to continue her advocacy with EarthEcho International!
