Judith managed Kalkie State School student environmental work that received the 2018 Australia Day Green Spirit Award, the 2018 Education Queensland North Coast Region Teacher of the Year Award, and gained an invitation to meet His Royal Highness Prince Charles to showcase student environmental work. Judith orchestrated student presentation of environmental projects to Education Queensland Director General, welcomed the Low Glow Collaboration Group (Prince’s Trust, Disney, and Greenfleet) to her classroom, hosted the World Wildlife Fund for World Turtle Day, created unique “Fantastic Not Plastic” cotton shopping bags to encourage all to use cloth not plastic, initiated change to Council legislation resulting in banning helium balloon releases, and encouraged a year 6 student who won the 2017 Capricorn Film Festival #lovethereef section with “One Plastic Bag” –the damage even one plastic bag can do. Judith is the granddaughter of Sir Charles Davidson OBE KBE, Federal Minister for the Navy, Postmaster General, Commander 42nd Battalion. A Veterinary Surgeon father and nature-loving mother instilled the love for the environment in her family.
