Nicolás Chesta
Water Challenge Regional Coordinator
Nicolás is a young passionate environmentalist from Chile. He is currently studying “Ingeniería Comercial” career at the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María. He had participated in several volunteering opportunities in the fields of education and environmental conservation. Through his leadership, he was selected to be a Youth Ambassador by the Department of State of the United States in 2017, in which he studied in the U.S. for a month about project development and its impact in local communities. He also has been involved in World Oceans Day organization with its Youth Advisory Council, and Latin American Leadership Academy as a young leader.
He joined the Youth Leadership Council at EarthEcho International in 2018, was elected as a Board of Directors Member in 2020, and is currently serving as Water Challenge Regional Coordinator. His objective is to support the organization in order to expand the Water Challenge Program. The first chapter was achieved in Barcelona, Spain; and now he is looking forward to growing the program within Latin America in the near future.
Nicolás believes a change can be made in communities by thinking globally and acting locally.
