Nina Shetty is an undergraduate student at the University of Washington and is pursuing a degree in Marine Biology. Her dedication towards environmental conservation stems from her childhood hikes in Washington State.

In 2021, Nina began volunteering at the Seattle Aquarium, where she worked to educate visitors about ocean conservation efforts.  She was involved in numerous projects, including organizing a Youth Ocean Conservation Summit and the Instagram ocean conservation page Puget Sound: We Love You. Nina has also served as a Field Representative for Our Climate, where she continued to advocate for climate justice through lobbying and local events. As a member of the No on 2117 campaign, she is currently working with other youth environmentalists to protect the Climate Commitment Act.

Nina joined EarthEcho in 2023 as a Blue Carbon Ambassador and is excited to further her work with the organization as a Youth Leadership Council member!
