I completed a Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering in the UK and not sure of the next step I took a chance and came to Melbourne. Twenty years later, three children and I am still not certain of the next step but I know it is going to be in educating people to think and act systemically and sustainably, to help them develop the skills and the tools to be able to solve the wicked problems we find ourselves facing. I have worked in University, TAFE and High schools as a teacher of science for the majority of my time in Australia but also have been privileged to have delivered and managed Environmental education programs with the Gould League and worked with a range of organizations developing curriculum materials through the Science Teachers Association of Victoria. For the last five years, I have been blessed to work at Cornish College where sustainability is embedded in the culture and yet we face the same familiar challenges in trying to be and help others be better versions of ourselves.
