Pia Visaria
Youth Leadership Council Member
Princeton Junction, NJ, USA
Pia Visaria is a passionate and dedicated rising high school senior from Princeton, NJ. With a deep-rooted love for the ocean, Pia's connection to coastal ecosystems can be traced back to her childhood visits to Kutch, India, where her family is native to, and her summers spent by the Jersey Shore. Pia Visaria is an active advocate for ocean conservation, serving as the Policy Chair for the Youth Advisory Council of the UN Ocean Decade and a senior EarthEcho Water Challenge Ambassador. Locally, she has interned with the Environmental Education Fund where she lobbied for the Green Amendment to appear on the ballot, and worked with the New Jersey Forestry Task Force to combat deforestation. Pia has also conducted climate policy research during her internship with Senator Andrew Zwicker's office. When she's not busy making waves in the conservation realm, Pia can be found travelling or spending time with friends and family! She looks forward to furthering her work with EarthEcho International!
