Rosie Dixon
Rosie is a secondary school teacher at Ryde Academy on the Isle of Wight. She teaches Geography to ages 11-18 and believes we have a duty to encourage our students to be globally aware. The study of place and interconnectedness is essential as we experience greater challenges around the world, from globalization to climate change. It is her passion for the subject that has led her into teaching as a profession. Prior to teaching on the Isle of Wight, Rosie taught internationally in the south of France and enjoyed discovering places to allow students to experience geographical theory in a living setting. In her spare time, She loves to travel, most recently completing the Camino de Santiago walking from France across Spain. At weekends, Rosie enjoys exploring the Isle of Wight with my partner and rescue dog, Ralph. She is excited to have this opportunity to work with EarthEcho Expeditions investigating sustainable fisheries within the UK.
