Sofía Hernández Salazar (she/her, born 1998- San José, Costa Rica)

-Human rights activist, focused on gender equality, climate justice and youth.

Sofía is a political scientist, primarily interested in human rights and environmental democracy, and aspires to pursue a master's degree in human rights and conflict resolution. She is also passionate about diplomacy, food sovereignty and citizen participation processes. Sofía is part of Fridays For Future Costa Rica, Young Leaders Costa Rica, co-founded Latinas for Climate, Arctic Angels also is one of the coordinators of Escazú Ahora Costa Rica and went to COP25 as part of the Costa Rican delegation.
